QUOTE THE CONTENTS, NOT THE PILE
A delivery can contain one complex item or several simpler ones. These guide bands start the discussion; the actual products, access and agreed scope determine the total quotation.

Keep the quote’s boundaries clear. Bringing furniture to the address, moving old pieces and removing cartons are not automatically included because they relate to the same delivery.

DELIVERED PARTS MUST WORK TOGETHER
A closed front can conceal a poorly seated runner or an incorrectly constructed frame. The completed item needs checks against its design so doors, drawers and other moving parts work as intended.
Review the supporting structure before using the adjustments provided by the hinge design.
Confirm the correct runner engagement and normal movement without forcing the drawer into place.
The appropriate fittings and correctly assembled structure provide the basis for alignment. Adjust only as the design allows, then check movement and stability rather than judging completion from a photograph.
CHECK THE INSTRUCTIONS THAT CAME WITH IT
Look for the manufacturer’s anti-tip instructions among the delivered documents. A supplied bracket may be intended for the furniture without establishing which fixing suits the receiving wall.
Wall restraint is not automatically included and must be suitable and agreed. Where the product requires anchoring, the absence of that restraint must not be treated as permission to use the furniture unsecured.
A damaged board or absent connector should be matched to the manufacturer’s reference. The affected assembly may need to wait for the correct replacement rather than progressing around the defect.
Do not borrow random screws from a neighbouring kit. Retain labels and product details so an incompatible substitute is not mistaken for the intended fitting.
