Know what is included

Cover built around the boiler and the home.

Boiler cover should give you a defined route when heating or hot water needs attention, not a vague promise. We first establish the boiler make, model, age, fuel type, service history and current condition, together with the property and heating system it serves.

The exact agreement matters. Eligibility, planned servicing, call-out structure, labour, parts limits, response expectations and exclusions should be understood before cover starts. Existing faults are assessed separately rather than presented as a future cover event.

Boiler information review

Make, model, age, installation and service history are checked before the cover route is confirmed.

Planned boiler care

Where included, servicing is organised at the appropriate interval and recorded clearly.

Fault response route

You know who to call, which information to provide and how an eligible heating fault is handled.

Clear limits and exclusions

Parts, labour, system components, pre-existing issues and maximum values are stated rather than implied.

How we organise boiler cover.

Heating engineer recording the condition of a boiler during a cover assessment

Boiler cover starts with eligibility, not with a payment button. We ask for the manufacturer, model, approximate age, fuel type and service history, plus the type of property and heating system. A photograph of the boiler data plate and any recent service or repair record can help. If the boiler currently shows a fault, loses pressure, leaks or does not provide reliable heat, that issue is identified before future cover is discussed rather than being hidden inside the agreement.

The boiler and accessible installation may need an initial check. The purpose is to confirm condition, safe access and whether the equipment fits the proposed level of support. Cover is not the same as an immediate repair, a manufacturer warranty or insurance for every component in the property. Controls, radiators, pumps, cylinders, pipework and water-quality problems can sit outside a boiler-only scope, so the agreement must state which parts of the wider system are included.

Once eligibility is established, we explain the practical structure: when cover begins, how planned servicing is arranged, what to do when a fault occurs, which call-out or labour terms apply and whether parts have financial or age limits. Pre-existing faults, cosmetic damage, sludge or scale, inaccessible installations and parts that are no longer available may be excluded. These points are made visible before confirmation so the homeowner can judge the cover on its real scope rather than its headline.

During the cover period, keep the boiler accessible and report changes promptly. If a visit is needed, provide the current symptom, display code and any recent pressure or noise change. The relevant heating professional can then be organised with better information. After planned or reactive work, the findings and next step are recorded. If repair is not safe or economical, that limitation is explained clearly; cover should support sensible decisions, not promise that every boiler can be kept running indefinitely.

Boiler cover FAQ

Before cover begins.

Useful answers about eligibility, servicing, faults and the limits of an agreement.

☎ Call 020 3608 3976
Can an older boiler be covered?

Age alone does not answer the question. Make, model, parts availability, service history, current condition and safe access all affect eligibility and the sensible scope.

Are existing boiler faults included?

Normally a known or pre-existing issue must be assessed and resolved separately before future cover can apply. Tell us about any current code, leak, pressure loss or unreliable operation.

Does boiler cover include an annual service?

Only if the confirmed agreement says so. The service interval, booking route and any conditions should be stated clearly rather than assumed from the word cover.

Are all parts and labour included?

Not automatically. Agreements can have component exclusions, claim or parts limits and conditions relating to obsolete equipment. We explain the applicable structure before confirmation.

Does cover include radiators and the whole heating system?

A boiler-only agreement may not include radiators, controls, cylinders, pumps, pipework, sludge or scale. The included equipment must be identified in the written scope.

What should I do if the boiler stops working?

Use the agreed contact route and share the display code, pressure reading and current symptoms. If you smell gas or suspect carbon monoxide, leave the area and follow the official emergency procedure immediately.

Is boiler cover the same as a guarantee?

No. It provides support according to a defined agreement and cannot promise that every fault, part or old boiler will be repairable. Limits and exclusions remain part of the cover.
